If it's what you want to do then it is worth it! Average starting salary for a pharmacist is 26,300. Student finance works so that you will pay back 9% of your income a year after you earn over 21,000. So you'll pay back 2367 a year which is not a lot considering how much you'll earn and it's taken out in small amounts each week or month (whenever you're paid) so it won't be that noticeable. Because it's a medical related course I thought all your course fees were free. However if that isn't the case then you will be paying back 54000 (assuming you'd pay for all six years). which you would pay back pretty quickly because of the pay rises you'd get. you can always differ your place until next year and spend a while looking for an apprenticeship or a job. If you can't find anything then the course is still there. I would advise you to apply for student finance now because it can take 6 or more weeks to process.
