When I got my A Level results I was expecting at least ABB but thanks to the practical examiner for Performance studies I got ABC.
I had an A in the exam part and a B for AS but the entire class have been given Es in the practical which was worth 35% of the entire subject. Is it possible to ask for a remark of the performances (they were filmed) or would I need to ask to resit?
(I am already taking a gap year)

Its possible for your teacher/ exam officer to put in for a coursework remark for the entire class. Edexcle off the service so I would expect the other exam boards do.

Talk to your teacher and exam officer as it should be done via your school.
I would definitely go for it on the basis everyone got an E. Ut should be raising alarm bells with your teacher.

It depends on how the coursework was marked. If it was marked by the exam board then you can pay for the re-mark just like any other unit. If it was centre marked and externally moderated then the only option is for the centre to pay for the whole centre's work to be re-moderated (and that can only be done if the centre's marks have been moderated down). Talk to your school to find out more.

An external examiner came in to mark the performances but it was strange as he was from a rival college and had previously auditioned two of the people in my group.

Compost is an actual exam officer, so id follow her line.

I just looked at a few exam boards and they offer the service.Which one you want us going to be up to what they offer and the way your school wish to approach it.

I would have thought its definitely a cause for concern if everyone simply got an E and that is contrary to what your teacher thinks your capabilities are.

ps I normally point out the very low chances of a remark making a difference due to the change in rules, but in your circs I would go for it.

You dont have anything to lose from appealing and its for these situations that the system exists. Fingers crossed and please update when you know the outcome.
