    English lit predicted B/ got a D very close to a C
I'm so disappointed in myself. luckily due to this being a new specification these grades apart from the maths one do not count as we will re-sit them next year utterly disappointed.

Don't be put off - you still have loads of time to work on those grades. Since you will re-sit your maths you can work on this as well. Try and think about how much revision you have put into these exams; if it was too little then you know where you went wrong. Try and also think about what you struggled on in those exams and study those topics more in depth so you're a master at them in 9 months time!

Also, try talking to your teachers and what they think about it - maybe they will advise you on what you should do.
