    I went when I was younger with school, but have never gone just for myself/with friends or family. Too far, really. What are the big things happening this year?

    I can't get excited by The Proms until Last Night; by which time it's great fun.

    Definitely going. Marked out 23 that I want to go to - I always prom in the day queue (never for thee gallery) so if anyone else is going then post here and maybe we can meet.

    Shostakovich overture on Russian and kirghiz folk themes, cage the seasons, Tan Dun violin concerto: out of peking opera, Esa-Pekka salonen Laughing unlearnt for solo violin, Tan Dun concerto for water percussion and orchestra. and theres a workshop for us before hand

    Not entirely sure yet...i'm so unorganised!

    But i'm looking at the The Firebird...and also the Mussorgsky, Rimsy-korsakov, stravinsky one with the rite of spring.
