I've gone through Clearing and have a confirmed place at Queen Mary to study Global Health but after talking about it with my family I'm slightly regretting this choice...perhaps Biomed would be a better degree for me as it would open more doors and I'm not sure if Global Health will do the same as it's a not so solid degree. Is it possible to transfer once I start there? If it's not possible to transfer, could I complete the first year and then transfer in my second year (assuming I would have to start from Year 1 again)? Please help!!!
Not sure if I've picked the right degree, could I transfer? Watch

Look at the syllabus to see what it covers.
If you want to do biomed then do biomed , even if that means applying for next year.
If you want to transfer to biomed at the same uni then on rare occasions its possible if they ahve space and you have the grades for it, bit no guarantee at all. Talk to the Uni.
If you wnat to reapply and redo year 1 again, then they may let you, but you would need to perform well plus meet the requirements for biomed and convince the department to take you. You would also be incurring the fees for that year to add to your loans.
In brief its possible, but theres absolutely no guarantees. Best find out now before you commit. Performing well and building some rapport with the department you wnat to move to is recommended.
