I want to keep my options open so have chosen Chem, Maths, history and english lit for A level. If i wanted to apply for say Chemistry at Oxford, would not having another science make me seem less appealing? The requirement is appropriate grades in A level Chemistry and maths. Although they say you don't have to have another science, would for example biology look better than my current choice?

If a university says they don't require three sciences then they don't. Your chosen A levels are fine. Taking biology will not improve your chances of admission.

I would recommend adding another science instead. Shows that your passion and skills lie in the science field... At the moment there's no consistency/theme in your choices. Note that will only matter for Oxbridge! Most other unis shouldn't mind as long as you take maths and Chem to A2

Completely wrong. If Oxford felt a third science was important they would make it a requirement, or at the very least say they prefer candidates with three science A levels. They do not say this.
