SATs watch

If you score 87.50% on an SAT 1 test, how good is it. I mean, is it greater than a 600?

Is this 87.5 percentile, or percent right/wrong? And do you mean 600 on a section, or 600 combined? 600 combined is well below the average score (1020 out of 1600), but a 600 on either section is a bit above average (about 510 for each). I have a score report sheet sitting in front of me with my SATII scores, but it lists score data for each test. It gives a 650 as 89th percentile verbal and 85th percentile math, so an 87th percentile is probably around 640 verbal and a 660 math.
