I don't think any A-Level is more respected than the other- my friend got into surrey uni with a Business BTEC honestly any A-Level is an A-Level do the one you enjoy the most

english literature is infinitely more reputable than english lang at a level. however, ur choice is also dependent on what u want to do later and ur decision swayed by what you enjoy more. e.g if u want to take creative writing or lang at uni, eng lang would be an optimal choice

I have been told that a single subject is more respected (English Language / English Literature) the combined subjects isn't so much. Hope this helps!

English Literature is considered a facilitating subject (i.e. one of the really good ones); English Language is not.

Whether Lit is a facilitating subject or not, it isn't going to realistically make a damn bit of difference if your grades are high and your other subjects are strong.

I would think only a very low % of people have the opportunity to take Eng language. Ynless you have creative flair, then i'd have thought lang would be harder than lit. Drill the same though its grade that matters.
