    Hi there

I'm about to enter my 3rd year and I've already applied for, signed the declaration etc for my last lot of student finance. Since applying my brother has decided to take up a place at university, meaning that he'll be supported by my mum rather than having a job. is this something that is worth telling student finance? Would it result in my (currently fairly measly) loan size increasing do you think?

If his income was included on your application then it will make a difference.

    Hi there.

If your brother is now a student then that would mean we can apply a disregard to your mother's income of £1130, meaning that you may see a slight change to your funding.

    Thanks.
