Can anyone explain how N2H6+ ions can form in this reaction:N2H4+ H2O?
I know that OH- ions will also form if N2H5+ions are formed, but if N2H6 2+ ions are formed, what about the OH- ions?

    Thanks in advance.

Hydrazine is a stronger base than water, so can deprotonate two molecules of water (as there is a lone pair on each N).
