Firstly being away from your family for 3 weeks and alone should be scary so congrats for choosing to do this, should be fun though  Have you started taking the Amitriptyline? 10mg I think is a 'baby' dose it sounds like a mild amount so I wouldn't be concerned about trying it but Id make sure I started taking it a while before I went on holiday.

If you think you can't cope with this can't you take a friend with you?

Amitriptyline? That's used to treat phantom pains and bed wetting...

It's used to treat depression & panic attacks. I was on it, but unfortunately it didn't stop mine. It's only not good for your heart if you overdose (i.e. more than one) because it can kill you. Mine took a week to kick in, but I got side effects.

I'm not going away on my own for that sole reason, in case I feel depressed or panicky.

Probably depends on how much you're planning on drinking.

ah not alot as its a relative thing, so cant be too smashed
what about citalopram, that really helped me stop panic attacks before

That should be okay then. I didn't drink when I was on Amitryptline though so I'm not 100% sure.

I started taking Citalopram last week. I find it's helping a bit. I'm sticking to very low amounts of alcohol though, like one or two drinks just in case.
