Is the access course only for people ages > 20?

also, I'm annoyed in a way, I was in sixth form for 1 year and it suddenly closed down. Teaches started looking for new jobs and it was a nightmare of a year. I must of went to the worst school in England. I got very good GCSE's 6 A*s and 1 B but then I got awful AS-level results this year. I'm about to start again at a new college which makes this year a complete waste of time. I was wondering what exactly is this access course? I'm getting really tired of doing irrelevant courses just to get to university.. All i want to do is get a degree in Web development, I'm extremely talented at it hence all the reading and practicing I've done. I good easily start the web development course but I can't because I don't have a-levels

I'm only 17 and I cannot see me completing A-levels.

EDIT: No I don't want an apprenticeship.

No! As long as you're 18 at he start of the course anyone can do it! You just have to be uni age so 18 or over, I know 18 year olds who have done it
