So I want to go to college but I'm scared in case people don't like me or judge me, laugh at me, etc. The only thing stopping me from wanting to go is that fear, also I freeze up in front of a group of new people, if I had a friend going with me I would be fine but I'm on my own so I am terrified. I also get scared when I walk past people because if they laugh I think they are laughing at me. I don't know if I have social anxiety but what should I do? Is their anxiety medication for this?

well many people feel insecure and shy, whether it's a mental illness depends more on how badly it affects you and your life

either way, you're not going to get medication prescribed for it - focus on trying to face your fears, the more you do it the easier it gets and these things are rarely as terrible as it feels like they might be
