95% of the time holiday romances will only work on holidays, and the majority of the time when you get back home and to reality one of the holiday romantics will forget about the other one pretty quickly and move on.

you might be missing him but if you want to see where you stand contact him (assuming you'vegot his contact details) and you might be able to see whether this holiday romance could go any further?
Not many holiday romances work unfortunatly.

It might just be me, but I’ve never seen the point in a ‘holiday fling’.

Use a condom - in fact take them from home. Some countries protection are quite shocking.

Many STI's are picked up from holidays. The holiday feeling of being in a different country and whatever gives people the mills and boon outlook or something.
A girl I knew at college slept with about 4 or 5 different guys in a week and used no protection and course she ended up pregnant with no clue who the father was.

I don't think I know someone with four or five sexual partners tbh! Well maybe a couple fours.

More likely confidence issues instead of stupidity. Although not using protection...

She was really insecure in real life and craved attention all the time, obviously not all people who sleep around on holiday are like that but she was.

there are other ways to deal with insecurities, you dont **** the first guy you see and not use protectionism and repeat several times. idiotic. plain dumb.
WEll she wanted to feel loved adn was in a bad lplace. i'm sure she knew it wasn't the best plan in the world.
Its good at the time, then bad when your missing that person, but then you forget and return to normal life, and its good again when you think back and remember what a damn good holiday you had! try to move on, and hey who knows you might meet him again one day if its meant to be

I had a holiday romance. It lasted about 10 days and went from China to Hong Kong, I had an amazing time could talk about what i liked, do what I liked, he treated me very well and took me for meals and had amazing nights/days, even came to Hong Kong with me. Cracks began to appear (nothing major) and I was happy that it was a holiday thing. Meeting him having a fling is totally out of character for me and I loved it. Exhilerating just being away and being different. I love that i can tell the story, it was a romance, short and sweet! x

Yeah, same here.
"It might just be me, but I’ve never seen the point in a ‘holiday fling’."

Then you've obviously never had one.
