I need to choose my accommodation, here's what I'm looking for:
•en-suite
•self catered
•great first year atmosphere
•close walk to campus (if not on campus)
•preferably nothing too shabby but don't care if it's not a new build

From what you have said Castle Leazes, Barker House and Manor Bank sound good.
There are also others you should check out!
