I'm considering taking MG211 as my outside option in my 3rd year and I've got a few questions. The prerequisites state that you need "Mathematics, Statistics and Probability Theory to the level of the courses Quantitative Methods and Introduction to Statistics for Accounting and Finance is required". I've done ST107 and MA107 but I would say my confidence is weak where maths is concerned (failed MA107 twice, then finally got 68 in my retake) so although I'm not really awful at maths, I'm a bit nervous to take a mathsy module. How much maths is actually involved? The past papers seem to have a decent amount of theory questions, so I guess what I'm really asking is is the maths involved difficult? Alternatively, does anybody know any fairly easy outside options that don't involve maths or econ?

Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
