Should I do medicine? watch

    I can't imagine myself with a career other than being a doctor however the time it takes really puts me off . I think i will enjoy the degree but the time it takes is off putting .So should i do it or not

    Yes do it. It's only 2 more years than a standard degree.

    Yes, my career choice will take longer than it will take you to become a doctor, so don't let it put you off

    Depends. If you're worried about the length of time it'll take before you're earning any money (min. 5 years), then I don't see why you shouldn't go for it; if you enjoy the degree, the extra two years will go quickly enough.

    If you're worried about the length of training overall (min. 10 years, including medical school), maybe rethink; there is no shortcut in medicine. It's a big commitment, and you'll find it hard to keep going for a decade or more if you're already feeling antsy about the training time. *
