    Is the Biology degree at Southampton flexible?

    In your first year you only get to choose 1 module, but you can choose this from a range of disciplines outside biology as well as inside biology (including the option to do a language). You can also choose in your second year to 'minor' in a separate subject. From second year there's only 3 compulsory modules (out of the 8 modules you do) with a fairly long list of potential modules to choose from. I think in the third year you don't have any compulsory modules and you get to choose the type of research project you do. So I'd say it's pretty flexible

    No I start there in September, but one of the main reasons I chose Southampton was because the course seemed so flexible
