Summer jobs in an office watch

    Would a 17 year old be able to get an temporary low level job doing officey things quite easily, or are we stuck with the high street stores? I think I'd prefer the office environment, as long as it wasn't too out of the way, if you know what I mean.


    Yes, I know the obvious answer would be to find out for myself, but I'd like to hear other people's experiences. + how would I go about trying to find a job? Would I need to have contacts, join an agency, etc., or could I do it with pester power and CVs?

    I know people who worked for Harrods over the summer in the office, they answered phones and took mail order requests. So might be worth calling them.

    BTW the ofice is nowhere near the shop, I think it was in west london, but not sure it was a couple of years ago.
