I didn't do this personally, but one of my friends (at Royal Holloway btw) did a 3rd-year unit at UCL as part of her course. I think the only real quibble she had about it was that the lecturer wasn't as approachable as she'd have liked. There was a chap from Goldsmiths in my Group 3 unit as it happens, and as far as I remember the only real issue he had about it was the faff involved in travelling out of London to get to RH for the classes.

Cool. Sounds like it's really good. I'm going to be starting my History course at Goldsmiths this September. I'm interested in studying Group 3 units at either UCL, King's or Queen Mary.

You can only do intercollegiate courses at:
Royal Holloway
Queen Mary
Goldsmith's
King's
UCL

And there's probably some other I can't remember. You can't do them at LSE or SOAS, unless you personally want to fork out a couple of thousand pounds to do the course there, as they don't participate in this.

That is correct. You can also do modules at Birkbeck if you so desired. As I said in my previous post, I'll be looking at modules at Queen Mary, King's and UCL.

Oh, and you can do courses in your second year. I know people who are doing Group 2s in their second year at UCL and King's who go to Royal Holloway. I now really wish I had applied to do a group 2 at..cant remember if it was UCL or King's now, but it would have tied in sooo well with some of my other courses. However, I may do it in my third year, as I miss London soooo much when I'm not there, but I equally love Egham!

Im not sure if ive misunderstood what kind of degree is being discussed or what but that doesnt seem right. I know you can take courses at SOAS as an intercollegiate candidate.

:O My tutor told me we can't do SOAS or LSE...meh!! It wasn't on the handout that we got of a list of courses that other UoL institutions offer. (This is for undergrad level btw) Never mind, maybe in my third year.

I always forget SSEES exists :colondollar: They're an amazing dept. I've been told (I know department isn't exactly the appropriate word to use)

Being a Msc student for international managment with finance at QMUL can I take units at UCL or Kings?

And can LSE and SOAS students participate in intercollegiate arrangements without paying (cos if they can it sucks :P)

I think doesn't matter which Uni you still have to pay for the intercollegiate courses, right? It says something like that on the history in UoL website.
