say maths. they're really not going to care, and it doesn't make you sound like you're trying too hard.

I assume the OP is desperately trying to cut down their PS. If it were me, I'd say Mathematics - it makes you look less desperate, but I doubt it will make any difference at all.

Thanks a lot for the comments  Glad to hear they won't mind too much either way.

At the time of posting I wasn't trying to cut down my PS, although now I need to (I'm done with my first draft) and I'm thinking that saying maths would be easier  Nah, I'll try and put mathematics more than maths if possible.
Is it better to use one of them and stick to it rather than differing between the two?

There are far more important things to worry about, but for what it's worth I used 'mathematics' throughout.
Reply 8
Don't say 'math' though they'll lynch you.
Capital or lowercase 'M' on Maths?
Reply 10
I used lowercase throughout but once again this is not an important issue.

They do give you bonus points if the first letters of each line spell something though. I only got in because mine read 'OMG I love maths' down the first column.

What about the admissions tutor's bestseller down a diagonal? :ninja:

Ever wonder how some people get EE offers? Well now you know.
Secrets of Cambridge revealed
*Feels smug* :proud:
I alwatys wondered what is an EE offer?

Some sort of code?

Or is it actually an offer of 2 grade E's?

Lmao, thanks for all the help guys (and gals?) :P

Unfortunately the first letters of each line (for half of my PS) only spell out - "ITAMBIRCMATMMMTSDOFIWMAKICSIBARAAYAYAIY...". This means I won't get any good offers, I guess? Lol!

It stands for 'Erik Eriksson offer', after a man from Iceland who was the first to ever recieve one.

Yep, whilst poor Aaron Adam Ackroyd stuggled like hell to make his :frown:

Aaron Adam Ackroyd the 11th, his great great great great great great great great grandson had it much worse.
lol
What about Aaron Adam Ackroyd Sideous-Snipe?

I'm sure his offer was much worse however much of the historical documtentation has been lost since 1987.
