In 3 months I am off on my honeymoon to Costa Rica, where much time will be spent on watersports and the beach...I therefore want to get into the best shape possible.

I've often tried to lose weight and gain muscle but have often fallen down on nutrition and a lack of self discipline...so, I will have you the denizens of TSR keep me honest.

Everyday I will post up my food diary form the day before, as well as and training done. I may even add Instagram style pics and give you a before and after at the end of the 3 months.

    Good luck.

Are you aware that PCT usually stands for something else when referred to in the fitness industry?

Yeah, i get what you mean mate. I could debate the morality and pros and cons with myself for literally hours.
(Obviously, i'm meaning for say me in 5-10 years if i avoided injury. The hardest part would be the stalling, once you hit an FFMI of 23ish... Gains will be minimal)
I probably won't take the plunge, no real need for me to considering i won't ever compete.

If i were to compete that would totally change the risk v reward...

There certainly are serious risks, i'm quite blasé about drug risks and pretty liberal - being a student and all that but the juice can be pretty severe.

Whatever decision you make, i hope it is the right one!

Ha ha, learn something new everyday! Alas the only juice I will be having will be some delicious IPA's...which I'm now hoping doesn't have a double meaning in the fitness industry!

    23rd August

Not a great start, working in an industry that involves client entertainment can add in some unexpected booze challenges.

    So:
    Breakfast: 2 x eggs
Lunch: home cooked cinnamon brown rice w/ chicken thigh, mushrooms, ginger, chilli and coriander
Dinner: chorizo and parmassan sourdough pizza (boo) but Franca Manca is the best!
Booze: 1 x bottle of IPA, 1 x bottle of prosecco

    Exercise
    None

    24th August

Out at client meetings in Manchester all day, so lunch was challenging but a morning strength session at 6am helped get the body stared

    Breakfast: 2 x eggs, 50g baked beans
Lunch: lamb wrap w/ lettuce And gherkin

    Exercise (strength training)

    15min warm up/stretching

    6 x back squat (50kg)
    4 x back squat (70kg)
    2 x back squat (90kg)
    1 x back squat (100kg)
    1 rep max 105 kg (new PB😀)

    6 x Bench press (50kg)
    4 x bench press 60kg
    2 x bench press (70kg)
1 rep max attempt at 80kg....fail...but I have tennis elbow in my left arm, so will retry next week and gunning for 85kg

IPA's form part of a class of drugs that I need no deliberation as to whether to fill my body with it.

Yeah completely agree, after the bank holiday is out of the way, I'm having a huge cut back, it's not great for me and as a fan of craft beers it gets VERY expensive!

Good plan! You can have a few on a Saturday night and maintain weight say but for the rest of the week i'd try and abstain.
