Going into Year 12 this September and I need to decide whether to do Decision Maths or Statistics. Mechanics is almost always ruled out for first year students at our sixth form who don't do Physics because our teachers don't like teaching Mechanics. I don't want to do mechanics anyway, so it doesn't bother me.

Can someone give me an insight on what D1 covers and what S1 covers please? Also, which would you recommend?

Although I have no knowledge of D1 since I do WJEC I would still recommend S1 since it's a no brainer choice for some.

Simple put - it's GCSE data handling.

I struggled at first because I didn't know the methods but I came out with 100UMS

Like previously mentioned - just learn the methods and you'll be more than capable of securing an A

S1 if you don't mind stats. Haven't done D1 yet, but I believe it is tied with computing and logic problems.
