    Hello!

I am hoping to do Maths at university. Currently I am studying Maths, F Maths, Physics, Chem and English Lit. I have to drop 1 this year. Will dropping Chemistry (instead of English) make me in anyway a less competitive candidate?

I'm not really an expert in this stuff but Chemistry will definitely look better on your University application than English. Although, if dropping Chemistry could boost your grades, then I would go for that. It's better to have 3 good grades than 3 mediocre grades in my opinion.

It would help if someone added to this as again, i'm not an expert lol

I'll probably get the same(ish) grade in both, I just can do that with waaaaaay less work for English lol

I'm in a similar position (i'm doing Maths, Further Maths, Geography and Chemistry) and I am going to drop Chemistry even though it will look better for a Maths degree to keep it. I just really prefer Geography (plus I got a higher grade in it). I think it will be ok I've looked at different unis websites and the only ones that might care are Imperial and Cambridge, but you are still doing Physics and Further Maths so it'll probably be fine for you. Remember most people only do 3 a levels so they really wouldn't care about your fourth one as long as you get a decent grade in it.
