For my a levels I received A*AD and although I got accepted to my first choice uni I still feel annoyed with the D since I spent so much time and effort on this subject and thought I would at least get a C and at the beginning of the year I thought I may even get higher. However I know that I could have got an A in a different subject had I chosen it for AS and then continued it to A2, and so my poor choice is also making me feel annoyed. I was also enjoying my summer up until finding out my results now I don't feel as happy and feel like I haven't achieved the academic success I wanted and felt I had worked for.
Sorry for the rant, I just needed to express how I feel.

Sorry you're upset, but you really need to just get over it now because you got the uni place that you wanted regardless, so it doesn't matter. Literally no one in the world will care about that D, so just forget about it.

Glad you're feeling better! It sucks when you don't get the grade you think you deserve or you feel like you earned, but you always have to try to look at the bigger picture and realise which ones matter and which ones don't. This is especially useful for uni when there are always one or two unexpected poor grades.
