I was wondering about the workload at the the University of Manchester.

My course (French and German) has an estimate of 24-32 extra hours of monitored self-study necessary outside of the classroom.

Given that I will be commuting to university (45 mins each way) and I will have to work outside of uni for 16 hours a week to support myself (I am a mature student living away from my parents), is this realistic for me to take on?

I was wondering if anyone who has studied a time-intensive course at Manchester can verify if this is accurate (it states that on the website) or is it an over-exaggeration?

    Thanks in advance.
