To carry on into year 13 at my sixth form, a D grade is required in the subject that you are studying. Unfortunately, I got an E in maths so I'm struggling to decide what to do. I've emailed my maths teacher and since I got ok marks on two out of the three papers, the third bumping my grade down, I could be allowed to continue, with extra support of course.

However, there is the chance that this won't be the case and I will either have to pick up a new subject at AS to study for one year, or restart year 12 completely which are things which I don't particularly want to do since I really don't want to drop the French course I am doing because I really enjoy languages, and there aren't really any other subjects that I see myself enjoying.

Any advice on what I could do would be great.

    Thanks!

If they don't let you continue with maths you could pick up another subject and do the entire a level in a year? - What grades did you get in you other subjects?
