I have decided to change from a nursing degree to biomedical sciences. I completed 1st year however suspended my studies halfway through second due to depression etc (got medical records to prove it too) so didn't actually complete second year. Anyone been through something similar and know if there's any way I could still get funding for tutition fees in 1st year of my new course since SF didn't fund my previous one? Really worried now because I don't know how i'm going to pay for 1st year otherwise.

Unfortunately, they will count the time you spent doing an NHS degree, however you might be able to claim compelling personal reasons since you have medical evidence to get your gift year back.
