    Hi,

For my AS, I got C in chemistry ( new linear specification), C in economics ( new linear specification) and D in maths. I want to do medicinal chemistry at university and most most universities ask for AAB. My chemistry teacher said he knows I can get an A if I work really hard at A2.

I will be resitting some maths modules so that I can try to get a B overall.

So I just wanted to ask if I would get offers from universities like Surrey, Nottingham and QMUL.

    Thanks

I think your teachers will probably predict you BBC, in which case, if you apply to universities with requirements greater than BBC, you'll be rejected. Study hard this year and apply through clearing/adjustment/next year.

Theres no harm in trying, although I would advise to have at least two back up unis with entry requirements closer to your achieved grades. Improving your grades may be more difficult than anticipated or there could be extenuating circumstances, it's always best to be safe rather than sorry

If you have the predicted grades, good references and a good personal statement, it is possible you will get offers.
Whether you meet the offers or not is a different question, though. If you put in the work, you will be able to do it.
