Changed my career direction already have 3 A2 levels but I needed a science. Sat AS of the science alongside my A2 subjects now I just have 1 A2 to finish.

How do I persuade my head teacher to allow me to just do the one A level ?

Unlikely as they need to get funding etc, unless you go to a private school.
You could self-learn and do it as a private candidate surely though, or pick up 2 AS as well?

I'm not sure how that would work. schools/colleges only get funded for students hwo are in for a certain amount of hours. So for 1 A2 you will only be in for ~4ours a week.

I am not sure you would need to speak to the college. However I do believe it's a minimum of 13 hours per week for the college to get funding.

do it alone and get a part time job. sit the exams as a private candidate at a local center. it will cost you around £100-200
