My boyfriend and I are both 15 and he's not the most confident person I know. We live in different towns but it only takes bout 5 minutes on the train.
Whenever we meet up but don't go out I always go up to his house and he has never been to mine.
We have been dating for about 8 months and whenever I invite him to my house to chill he brushes it off and says stuff like " wouldn't it b easier if u just came to my house cause I'm closer to the train station. I'll meet u at the station."
Now whenever I ask my mum to go up to his house she always says " when's he gonna come here ? It should be the boy doing the chasing around not the girl".

    What should I do ???
Is my mum right or is that just old fashioned ???
Should I say anything to my boyfriend ???

Does he just not have the money to get the train but won't admit it?

Kinda sounds like he's too lazy to move his ass to your place

If he's not the most confident maybe he just is nervous about meeting your parents and so tries to avoid it

Maybe he's just nervous about meeting your family

I think he is just shy or nervous. If you don't think it has to do with money, then he may just be scared to meet your family.

Your mother may be right. Some people are old-fashioned, while others don't care and go with the times.

If you are okay with this arrangement, then continue; if not, you should speak with him and make him do the chasing.

    All the best.

Tell him that you'd really like him to visit your house, and ask if he has a real reason against it. If you've been going out for quite a long time, surely he can tell you what's bothering him?
