    Hi everyone!

I have been given a hall in Stenton Hall, Premium Ensuite Room for £161.71 p/w. These were not my first choice halls and I didn't think I would be allocated them and the room is much too big and expensive for me. I know lots of people wanted these halls and may have been allocated another hall so I am in desperate need of a room swap as the Accomodation office has informed me all the halls are filled. PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU WANT TO SWAP.

    Thanks!

Don't have a room yet so can't swap but need to be close to campus (disability), so happy to toke over room if accommodation office can find you a cheaper one.

    Good luck.

Sorry to hear about this, but I'm also same waiting to hear back about my offer so I don't have a room yet but if you need someone to take it off your hands I am more than happy to take it off your hands if you want to look for somewhere else Hope it gets sorted for you though!

Exactly the same thing happened to me! I was a late applicant so just applied for the cheapest that was left which wasn't much but Stenton was my 5th choice because its so expensive and I got Premium Ensuit. I emailed the uni and they said they still had places in their catered accommodation but I think catered is such a rip off! I'm going to wait until moving in day (16th September) and then go straight to the welfare office and ask to be put on a waiting list for cheaper accommodation because people will drop out!!

    Hey everyone.

I listed Stenton as my last choice too last year in Halls Accommodation. The last time I remembered, you can definitely apply for a change of hall provided if there's any vacant room available, but it would take a long time since there is a waiting list. However, you can swap rooms with a student you know, that would be a whole lot faster process (a week or less) And if I'm not mistaken, there is a £50 penalty fee for changing halls.

Personally the Park Halls are really good for socialising and it's the nearest to Park Bar (where everyone's the uni goes to) this includes Mackinder, Stenton and Childs. But if you prefer a cheaper option, I would suggest to opt for the Stenton Townhouse!
