I'm starting year 12 in September 2016 and would really like to get some work experience for a maths related job during summer 2017. I'm most likely gonna do maths at uni so I know that it's a competitive field so work experience would be so helpful. I'm having trouble deciding what job I want to do in the future but I was thinking maybe an actuary. So I'd like to know if anyone knows of anywhere that offers work experience for 16 year olds as an actuary? Or can anyone give me a suggestion of jobs where I can use my mathematical abilities? I don't really want to go into finance (like accountants or bankers) but I love maths. Thanks in advance.

How about some volunteer teaching or tutoring in maths?

Obvious ones are voluntering at places like Kumon. Also, tutoring is good.
You should get more opportunites for work experience in yr 12. A friend of mine just finished a 4 week summer internship/work exp. At Admiral insurance, which was specifically aimed for first year uni students, but they do make exceptions if you are in sixth form too.
