So I just got my AS level results 6 days ago. The result i got was D in maths, E in bio and E in chemistry. These are the grades i've never wanted. I need help on what my next step is. *PLEASE HELP*

You could always redo AS year - better to do that now than try and compensate for your bad grades in A2 and be disappointed with the outcome. Even if you were to get all A's in A2, your AS grades would pull them down massively.

Biology and Chemistry are not modular exams, therefore they will not drag your overall grade down in A2! You will sit the official exam at the end of A2.
However with Maths being modular, I recommend you either retake the year OR resit the AS maths modules next year along with your A2.

I think resitting the year is a very extreme step. I'm assuming that biology and chemistry are linear (?) so that means your AS result won't count next year so just think of this as a trial run. Maybe request your papers back so you can see what went wrong to learn for the real thing?

As for maths, you could retake the three modules (or just two of them if one of them went well). With the experience you'll gain next year you should do better.

If these results were unexpected and your mocks were better then I'm sure these results shouldn't make too much of a negative impact on your predicted grades for A level.

Right so i'm not an expert on this but i believe your options are to resit every subject or to retake the year. Why did you get these grades though? Was it a lack of ambition or poor work ethic?
