I want to work in Management Consulting (ideally Big Four) and get a grad scheme forI Sep 2017. As a SOAS BA Economics and Politics graduate, I will start another Masters this Sep 2016. I need advice as to which is a better option:1. SOAS: MA International Studies & DiplomacyWill gain more practical and life skills (get taken to the UN in Geneva, Media training courses)Breadth of modules: Int. Economics, Int. Law, Int. Politics, DiplomacyHave heard great stuff from everybody about how they really enjoyed it2. LSE: MSc Empires, Colonialism & GlobalisationHistory courseVery specific course and academic-basedGlobal brand name of LSENew/different university culture (as already soas grad)I am leaning towards SOAS' masters, but my main hesitation is that SOAS might not be a great name on my application when I want to apply for top Management Consulting firms and private sector orgs (even though the course there will probably teach me more applicable life skills than LSE).Could management consultants (especially if from SOAS, or either of these courses) please provide advice over this tough choice I would truly appreciate it.My main aim is to secure a top management consulting grad scheme for next year. I also feel that I will do well in interviews, and its just a case of getting to the interview stage (which I'm worried SOAS might not get me through). If anybody has done these courses please do comment with thoughts thanks!
