    Is it possible for me to actually buy a car whilst studying considering the funds e.g student finance??

    It depends how much spare cash you have and how cheap a car you are prepared to buy. I would however say it is an unnecessary expense.

    You may be able to buy a car with student finance but I'm sure you won't get enough to maintain it.

    basic car costs £2000 (dumb idea to buy for less than that), expect to pay around £1000 in insurance, plus £150 road tax, and few £100 in repairs/mot, per year. plus petrol. it obviously fluctuates massively depending on what you buy but if you can afford £1500 / year as well as the outright price then sure you can do it.
