    I understand that happiness is a difficult concept, but there is a problem I face:

    Epicurus was said to have found and defined happiness and it contains three ingredients:
    - permanent and true friends
    - an analyzed life
    - independence

    The accompanying video follows:

    I have the last two, but I don't have friends. Does that mean I will not find happiness?

    If you have not any friend then it does not mean that you can't find happiness. I have seen lot of peoples who has no friends but they are still happy. You don't need friends to be happy. You can be happy without friends.

    I have heard another philosopher say that you need another list of three things;

    - a meaningful relationship
    - an enjoyable job
    - to make a difference
