I was 1ums off an A* in bio and my class' coursework grades got moderated down so I got a C in my coursework (OCR). Is there anyway i could internally or externally redo coursework as I know the specification has changed.

I'm taking a gap year because I didn't get the grades for medicine- got AAB and missed out on an A in chem by 1ums. A few of the universities accepting resit applicants require A*AA and biology is my best chance at that A*. I also got 100% in one exam and an A in my other exam, despite finding the paper very difficult. Therefore, I feel as though I should resit the coursework early for an extra UMS, instead of any papers.

    Thank you.

Does this coursework involve practical work? If so you need to go through your school. What do your teachers think?

Yes it does, and when I asked the head of sixth form about resits he said that I need to do them externally, so that probably also applies to the coursework too. Do you know if there is a way of redoing coursework externally? If not, I will ask my school again.

Either which way you need an exam center and your school is probably best because you know people there and what facilities you have access to. Talk to them about options and if that's not helpful try contacting the board.
