    Practical Stuff

There are three different ways to find out which universities have places in your course.

    1. Visit http://www.ucas.com. You'll have to dig out your old password! All the courses with vacancies will be listed on the UCAS website from August 14th at 00.01 am. You can search for courses by subject or by university or college.

    2. The Independant Newspaper The independant will list all vacancies by course. The paper will issue updated lists every day untill the 18th of August. The mirror will also have local listings (14th) and articles on the clearing process (15th-18th).

    3. Call BBC Radio 1's Help line. They will have all the info there aswell. The number is 0808 100 8000. You can speak in confidence to a careers advisor who has all the clearing details.

write a list of all possible courses and then ring the relevent admission tutors for a chat.

    Check out the websites...

I'm not sure Katie, sorry. Anyway, here's a guess:

    what about my student loan???
I wouldn't worry about it - I haven't. So long as your university gets the money eventually, I doubt they'll care.

will i get it before the beginning of term now???
Probably not, but don't worry. Tell your university what's happened and I'm sure they'll understand. I doubt they'll throw you off the course for not having the money.

do i get any say in my accomodation???
I doubt it, as you'll be a late applicant, all the best places would have gone.

I think you need to update your LEA on the change of university (and course?).

I think you get a clearing entry form (CEF) from UCAS that has the number.
