    GCSE ENGLISH LANGUAGe FOUNDATION PAPER
    AQA
Did you mean you were 23 UMS marks off a C in English overall or just in that paper? Because unless I'm looking at the wrong paper (ENG1F), 23 UMS marks off a C would give you an E, which can't be right.

to get a C in the exam - you need 53 raw marks = 108 UMS
    use this to convert http://www.aqa.org.uk/exams-administ.../ums-converter
