So I just got my GCSE results, and admittedly could have put a bit more effort into them but came out with the following results

    6A*s:
    Physics
    Chemistry
    Biology
    Further Maths
    English Literature
    History

    6As
    Maths (taken a year early)
    English Language
Latin Language (two or three marks from grade boundary)
    Latin Literature
RS (again, two or three from grade boundary)
    ICT

I know these are very good, but I am a little angry at myself for not getting the extra marks in Latin and RS that would have made it 8A*s, particularly as I left the exam early for Latin Paper 1 (I had it back to back with an ICT exam, was very tired and left about 45 minutes early, got A* in that particular paper). Some people in my year also did better even to the extent of one person getting straight A*s, so would that reflect badly on me.

I am not too sure degree wise, but I imagine it would be a humanities or language based one. I know these are a little less competetive than sciences, but are my chances of Oxbridge good?

    Thanks in advance

I was thinking the same, I got 8A*s, 4As and a C. I was hoping to go to a Russel Group university in order to study a medical related course. Would my grades be good enough for Oxbridge?

GCSE doesn't really matter for russet group unless your doing medicine.

You'll be aight for oxbridge too.

Cheers all! Now I think I'll try to stop thinking about education and GCSEs, they've had plenty of time already.
