So basically my situation is, I unknowingly committed retail fraud. So it's actually low value, under £2500 and it's my first offence. The charges are Fraud by false representation and identity theft. I am currently beginning my third year at University, first i thought it would not affect the company i returned the item too nor would it be a big deal, but I was an idiot who thought it wouldn't be.

But i wanted to know, would this affect my education, if i am charged i have been told it will most likely be community service with a fine?

Would be thankful for the advice.
