i had a conditional offer based on achieving a B grade in CACHE childcare and education but got a C.

I declined an alternative of mental health nursing and don't want to go through clearing as i wants to study locally.

Im 40 UCAS points below at 240 and need 280 to get onto nursing.

I don't know what to do as a booster so i can reapply again with the grades i need. thought I'd found a Btec 90 credit course but apparently the credits don't equate to UCAS points.

An access course has been suggested which I thought was for 19+ but one college I've approached said they will take me at 18. I'm not sure how the fees will work though as it says £3k + and couldn't afford this.

    Can anyone help please ??

if you are 18 then the access course should be free for you.

Access course is free If you get a firm uni offer at the end of it. But like previous poster said I'm sure it's free up until 24 years of age

For an access course there is a fee which you apply for through student finance, but if you then go on to complete a degree this gets disregarded so you no longer have to pay it back. But the fact you are 18 this may still be free, but I think because you have already completed a level 3 qualification you may not be entitled to it being free

Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
