Do you think its a good idea for me to take a gap year and apply to medicine with AAB at A2? I never applied last year because i didnt have the grades.
I ve callee up unis like dundee and they said that they ll take people with AAB provided that their application is strong in other areas.
I just need advice on this because im not sure whether i should waste a year especially because my chances of getting in are thin

Unfortunately, with achieved AAB, your chances are very low. Dundee state they require AAA on the website.

You could either look into resitting your B grade and bumping it up to an A and then reapplying to med schools which accept resits (some only accept them if all a-levels are taken within 3 years I believe).

Alternatively, look into doing an alternative degree like Biomed and if you still want to do medicine after, you can attempt to apply to medicine after. There are always issues regarding competition and finance depending on which med course you apply to after your first degree but it's certainly do-able.

    Good luck
