Earlier this year, together with the Medical Schools Council, we launched new guidance for medical students outlining how our core guidance, Good medical practice, applies to you.
We now want to hear about why professionalism is important to you as a medical student and have launched a summer break competition to find out.
Not only do you have the chance to win £300 in Amazon vouchers (and £100 of vouchers for two runners up), but the winning entry will be shared with all UK medical schools to help other students explore the guidance.
You need to design a session that will engage your peers in a conversation about professional values. The session should help other students understand what Achieving good medical practice means for them and give them three take home points. You may want to focus on one topic covered in the guidance such as raising concerns about patient safety, dealing with personal health issues, or social media use.
You can download the full instructions and entry form, which have all the details you need, including links to the new guidance.
Completed entry forms need to be sent to [email protected] by 30 September and winners will be announced by 4 November.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Or does it play no part?
