The former President of France and potential UMP candidate for the 2017 French Presidential Election has also said he would support a nationwide ban on the Burkini, which was met with a standing ovation from his supporters.

the path towards phasing out idiocy like the "burkini" isn't more government - it's less immigration. if you have less islamic immigration, you won't have beaches with women wearing it by the order of their respective patriarch. going down that hill of banning certain clothing is disrespectful to the rights and the personal privacy of the individual regarding their fashion - banning nudity is already stupid enough - as if our species wasn't meant to see itself naked

Hmmm... but perhaps more government is the solution?

Imagine if the government enforced mandatory nudity - Islamists would be very easy to spot, and would probably not want to stay in Europe.

From a perspective of principle I'm against government policy which infringes upon people's individual rights, but when it comes to Islam, I'm apathetic to say the least. France is a country with a strong adherence to secularism, and while individuals should have the right to practice their own religion in the freedom of their own homes, to do so in public should not be welcome.

64% of a sample of 1000 Frenchmen. I think in the light of Brexit defying the odds, its negligent to cite a singular poll as fact.
