I would like to become a Chartered Accountant in the future, after I have completed a degree in Accounting and Finance. However due to having a tough year, I only achieved AABBBBBCCCDD (predicted straight A's) in my GCSEs with a B in Maths and English. I am going to study Biology, Geography and Business Studies at A Level (all my school offers sadly, and I didn't get the grades to study Maths like I had planned.) I am going to work so hard in Sixth Form and I know I can get good grades. My father is also a Chartered Accountant so he would be able to guide me on my path, however I am worried that my GCSE grades are going to pull me back. Do you think these grades will make a difference to my career?

It's great that you know what you want to do! If you do well in your A-Levels and get yourself onto the degree you want, I don't see there being any problems at all! Focus on your studies for now, and get as much work experience in as you can over the next few years. There are a lot of programmes around for students at different levels so this is really worth looking into. I wish you the best!
