think i have been lied to by school ... lol

i was told by my English teacher that i would only 21 marks in the exam to get a C. as she said my course work was 36 marks, but she didn't tell me my speaking and listening all what she said that i did very good and i got high marks in it. so on results day i was very confused&upset too see that i failed english as i got a D , i scored 36 marks in the exam. i asked school if can have a remark they just said its just the grade boundaries have gone very high and told me to see connections. i am so confused right now and feel lied to.
Same thing happened to me, I was expecting an A but got a B
