Well, you will sit next to atleast 1 person per subject. That person will have no choice but to be your friend. You will then have atleast 4 friends guranteed xD.

    Just make an effort

You just have to talk to many people.

I remember one break time this girl in my class walked towards me and started talking to me. A few weeks later we became really good friends.

Im kinda nervous about the same thing since no one from my high school is going to the same sixth form as me but like everyone else said just make an effort to speak to people and try not to be too quiet

One thing I'll say, don't worry about the first day/week, if you make friends you'll probably never talk to them again, don't know why that's the case but it just is (just finished 2 years at college)

I went to a college near my house and there were only 2 boys that went there from my previous secondary school, both of which I didn't speak to. For the first week i was mostly getting used to the classes and timetable and then I just approached one guy from my class and I was just chilling with him and the same day he introduced me to 5 different people. This then turned into about 30 or more friends just In college.
