I got 5A*s (geography, chemistry, physics, maths and RS), 4As (further maths, biology, business and French) and 2Bs (English literature and language).
I'm taking business, biology and maths at A-level as well as the EPQ.

I'm worried about the English grades as I know law is essay based.

    Thanks.

You definitely stand a good chance of getting into a RG uni.

Most of the unis in the Russell Group are more concerned with your A-Level grades than GCSEs (with the exception of oxbridge which put quite a large emphasis on GCSE grades).
I managed to get into a Russell group uni with pretty meh GCSEs (my A-Levels were much better), so you shouldn't have any issues.

    I got
AABBCCDDUU in my Gcse's and got my offer for Manchester. I got the grades I needed for Liverpool, Lancaster and Leeds. I wouldnt worry too much, just do well at A levels and GCSEs wont matter as much

Yes, Russell group uni's will accept them grades providing that your A-Levels are good
You have done better than me at GCSE's and I'm at a Russell group Uni.
